Enter the total weight of concrete needed (lbs) and the cost per pound of concrete ($/lb) into the Concrete Cost Calculator. The calculator will evaluate and display the Concrete Cost.

Concrete Cost Formula

The following formula is used to calculate the Concrete Cost.

CC = WCC * CPP
  • Where CC is the Concrete Cost ($)
  • WCC is the total weight of concrete needed (lbs)
  • CPP is the cost per pound of concrete ($/lb)

To calculate the concrete cost, multiply the weight of concrete needed by the cost per pound of concrete.

How to Calculate Concrete Cost?

The following example problems outline how to calculate Concrete Cost.

Example Problem #1:

  1. First, determine the total weight of concrete needed (lbs). The total weight of concrete needed (lbs) is given as 1,000.
  2. Next, determine the cost per pound of concrete ($/lb). The cost per pound of concrete ($/lb) is provided as 3.00.
  3. Finally, calculate the Concrete Cost using the equation above:

CC = WCC * CPP

The values given above are inserted into the equation below:

CC =1000 * 3.00 = 3,000.00 ($)

Example Problem #2:

The variables needed for this problem are provided below:

total weight of concrete needed (lbs) = 2,000

cost per pound of concrete ($/lb) = 2.50

Entering these values and solving gives:

CC = WCC * CPP = 5,000.00 ($)
