Enter the number of hashes completed and the total time (s) into the Hash Rate Calculator. The calculator will evaluate the Hash Rate.

Hash Rate Formula

The following two example problems outline the steps and information needed to calculate the Hash Rate.

HSR = H / T
  • Where HSR is the Hash Rate (hashes/s)
  • #H is the number of hashes completed
  • T is the total time (s)

To calculate the hash rate, divide the number of hashes by the time.

How to Calculate Hash Rate?

The following example problems outline how to calculate Hash Rate.

Example Problem #1:

  1. First, determine the number of hashes completed.
    • The number of hashes completed is given as: 325.
  2. Next, determine the total time (s).
    • The total time (s) is provided as: 5.
  3. Finally, calculate the Hash Rate using the equation above:

HSR = #H / T

The values provided above are inserted into the equation below and computed.

HSR = 325 / 5 = 65 (hashes/s)

Example Problem #2:

For this problem, the variables required are provided below:

number of hashes completed = 100

total time (s) = 4

Test your knowledge using the equation and check your answer with the calculator..

HSR = #H / T = ?
