Enter the base rent ($) and the percentage of base charged as HVAC cost (%) into the calculator to determine the HVAC Rent.

HVAC Rent Formula

The following formula is used to calculate the HVAC Rent.

Rhvac = BR * P/100
  • Where Rhvac is the HVAC Rent ($)
  • BR is the base rent ($)
  • % is the percentage of base charged as HVAC cost (%)

To calculate the HVAC rent, multiply the base rent by the percentage charge of rent for HVAC over 100.

How to Calculate HVAC Rent?

The following example problems outline how to calculate HVAC Rent.

Example Problem #1:

  1. First, determine the base rent ($). In this example, the base rent ($) is given as 500.
  2. Next, determine the percentage of base charged as HVAC cost (%). For this problem, the percentage of base charged as HVAC cost (%) is given as 10.
  3. Finally, calculate the HVAC Rent using the equation above:

Rhvac = BR * %/100

The values given above are inserted into the equation below:

Rhvac = BR * %/100 = ($)

Example Problem #2:

The variables needed for this problem are provided below:

base rent ($) = 900

percentage of base charged as HVAC cost (%) = 5

Entering these values and solving gives:

Rhvac = BR * %/100 = ($)
