Enter the mutual fund investment amount ($) and the total mutual fund value ($) into the calculator to determine the Mutual Fund Profit.

Mutual Fund Profit Formula

The following formula is used to calculate the Mutual Fund Profit.

MFP = MFV – FI

  • Where MFP is the Mutual Fund Profit ($)
  • FI is the mutual fund investment amount ($)
  • MFV is the current total mutual fund value ($)

How to Calculate Mutual Fund Profit?

The following example problems outline how to calculate Mutual Fund Profit.

Example Problem #1:

  1. First, determine the mutual fund investment amount ($). In this example, the mutual fund investment amount ($) is given as 1000.
  2. Next, determine the total mutual fund value ($). For this problem, the total mutual fund value ($) is given as 2000.
  3. Finally, calculate the Mutual Fund Profit using the equation above:

MFP = MFV – FI

The values given above are inserted into the equation below:

MFP = 2000 – 1000  = 1000 ($)

Example Problem #2:

The variables needed for this problem are provided below:

mutual fund investment amount ($) = 1650

total mutual fund value ($) = 3000

Entering these values and solving gives:

MFP = 3000 – 1650  = 1350 ($)
