Enter the net revenue ($) and the net profit ($) into the Net Cost Calculator. The calculator will evaluate and display the Net Cost.

Net Cost Formula

The following formula is used to calculate the Net Cost.

NC = NR - NP
  • Where NC is the Net Cost ($)
  • NR is the net revenue ($)
  • NP is the net profit ($)

To calculate the net cost, subtract the net profit from the net revenue.

How to Calculate Net Cost?

The following example problems outline how to calculate Net Cost.

Example Problem #1:

  1. First, determine the net revenue ($). The net revenue ($) is given as 150.
  2. Next, determine the net profit ($). The net profit ($) is provided as 25.
  3. Finally, calculate the Net Cost using the equation above:

NC = NR – NP

The values given above are inserted into the equation below:

NC = 150 – 25 = 125.00 ($)

Example Problem #2:

The variables needed for this problem are provided below:

net revenue ($) = 175

net profit ($) = 40

Entering these values and solving gives:

NC = 175 – 40 = 135.00 ($)
