Enter the turnover from physical assets, the operating efficiency, and the stress value into the Return on Effort Calculator. The calculator will evaluate and display the Return on Effort.

Return on Effort Formula

The following formula is used to calculate the Return on Effort.

ROEff = T * OE * S
  • Where ROEff is the Return on Effort (none)
  • T is the turnover from physical assets
  • OE is the operating efficiency
  • S is the stress value

To calculate the return of effort value, multiply the turnover from physical assets by the operating efficiency and the stress value.

How to Calculate Return on Effort?

The following example problems outline how to calculate Return on Effort.

Example Problem #1

  1. First, determine the turnover from physical assets.
    • The turnover from physical assets is calculated to be : 10.
  2. Next, determine the operating efficiency.
    • The operating efficiency is measured to be: 10.
  3. Next, determine the stress value.
    • The stress value is found to be: 10.
  4. Finally, calculate the Return on Effort using the formula above:

ROEff = T * OE * S

The values given above are inserted into the equation below and the solution is calculated:

ROEff = 10 * 10 * 10 = 1000

Example Problem #2

The variables needed for this problem are provided below:

turnover from physical assets = 20

operating efficiency = 30

stress value = 40

This example problem is a test of your knowledge on the subject. Use the calculator above to check your answer.

ROEff = T * OE * S = (none)
