Seed Loss Formula

SL = SP - GR/100 *SP

Variables:

  • SL is the Seed Loss (seeds)
  • SP is the number of seeds planted (or weight, cost, etc)
  • GR is the germination rate (%)

To calculate Seed Loss, multiply the germination rate by the number of seeds planted, then subtract the the result from the number of seeds planted.

  3. Next, gather the formula from above = SL = SP – GR/100 *SP.
