About Patrick
Patrick began the calculator project in July 2017 to make practical calculations easier to access, understand, and use, then moved it to calculator.academy in 2018. He is the primary author and developer of the site's library of more than 7,000 calculators, turning formulas, conversions, and estimates into clear results for everyday users.
Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rowan University. That engineering background shapes how every Calculator Academy tool is built: formulas are implemented and tested directly, units are handled explicitly, and results are formatted so they can be checked against the underlying math.
Calculator Academy is operated by Calculator Academy LLC, a company founded and led by Patrick. Today he leads calculator development across the site's technical and general-use categories and guides its technical direction, publishing standards, and ongoing user experience improvements.
