The basic calculator uses body weight, meal time, and eating style. If you enter kilograms or hours, the calculator converts them automatically.

C = BW * M * F

Variables:

  • C = calories burned
  • BW = body weight in pounds
  • M = time spent eating in minutes
  • F = eating-style factor

Use the following eating-style factors in the basic formula:

  • 0.0119 for sitting and eating
  • 0.0143 for standing and eating
  • 0.0159 for light movement while eating

The advanced tab uses your own calorie rate per minute:

C = R * M

R is calories burned per minute.
