Calculate calories burned while ironing by entering body weight in pounds and time in minutes, with light, regular, or active pace options.
Calories Burned Ironing Formula
The calculator uses body weight, ironing time, and an ironing factor based on pace.
C = W \cdot T \cdot F
Variables:
- C = calories burned
- W = body weight in pounds
- T = time ironing in minutes
- F = ironing factor
Ironing factors: Light = 0.0143, Regular = 0.0183, Active = 0.0222.
How Many Calories Does Ironing Burn?
Ironing is a light household activity, but longer sessions can still add meaningful daily movement. Calories burned rise with body weight, total time spent ironing, and how active you are while standing, reaching, folding, and moving between clothes and surfaces.
| Body Weight | 30 Minutes | 60 Minutes |
|---|---|---|
| 125 lb | 68.6 calories | 137.3 calories |
| 155 lb | 85.1 calories | 170.1 calories |
| 185 lb | 101.6 calories | 203.1 calories |
The table above uses a regular ironing pace.
How to Calculate Calories Burned Ironing
