Enter liters or pints into the calculator to convert to the other value.
L to Pt Conversion Formula
pt = L / k
- pt = volume in pints
- L = volume in liters
- k = liters per pint for the chosen pint definition
Use these values for k:
- US liquid pint: k = 0.473176473 L
- Imperial pint (UK): k = 0.56826125 L
- US dry pint: k = 0.550610471 L
For batch mode, multiply container count by volume per container before dividing: pt = (n × L_each) / k. If you enter mL or cL, the calculator converts to liters first (1 mL = 0.001 L, 1 cL = 0.01 L).

Which Pint Should You Use?
US liquid pint is the default for beverages, recipes, and any liquid sold in the United States. Imperial pint applies in the UK, Ireland, and most Commonwealth countries; a UK pint of beer is about 20% larger than a US one. US dry pint is reserved for dry goods like berries, mushrooms, and produce sold by volume in the US.
Example 1. A 2 L soda bottle in US liquid pints: 2 / 0.473176473 = 4.227 pt.
Example 2. A case of 24 bottles, 330 mL each, in imperial pints: total = 24 × 0.330 = 7.92 L, then 7.92 / 0.56826125 = 13.937 pt.
Example 3. 1.5 L of blueberries in US dry pints: 1.5 / 0.550610471 = 2.724 pt.
