The calculator uses simple day totals. Choose the value to solve for and enter the other two values. The parents’ allocations must cover the same period without gaps or double counting.

Total Days = Days with Parent A + Days with Parent B
Days with Parent A = Total Days - Days with Parent B
Days with Parent B = Total Days - Days with Parent A
  • Total Days is the full length of the schedule period.
  • Days with Parent A is the number of days assigned to Parent A.
  • Days with Parent B is the number of days assigned to Parent B.

Use the same time period for all entries. For example, do not mix monthly days with yearly days. If you use overnights instead of calendar days, keep that method consistent for both parents.

If the total schedule period is 14 days and Parent A has 9 days, Parent B has 5 days.
