Enter either variable to calculate the pressure in the other unit.

Torr Formula

The following formula is used to calculate the Torr pressure.

T = (P * 760) / 101325

Variables:

  • T is the pressure in Torr
  • P is the pressure in Pascals (Pa)

To calculate the pressure in Torr, multiply the pressure in Pascals by 760. Then, divide the result by 101325.

What is a Torr?

A Torr is a unit of pressure used in measuring partial vacuums and low pressures, commonly used in the field of science and technology. It was named after the Italian physicist Evangelista Torricelli, who invented the mercury barometer. One Torr is approximately equal to 1/760th of a standard atmospheric pressure, or precisely equal to 133.322368421053 pascals.
