A vibration plate is a platform that oscillates rapidly, commonly around 15 to 50 Hz. Standing quietly is the lowest-effort option, while calf raises, marching, planks, squats, and lunges drive calorie burn higher because more muscle stays active through each minute of the session.
What Changes Calorie Burn on a Vibration Plate?
- Body weight: Heavier body weight increases calories burned at every session type.
- Session length: 20 minutes burns about twice what 10 minutes burns when the session type stays the same.
- Movement choice: Passive standing burns the least, while dynamic squats and lunges burn the most.
