Enter the number of combinations adding up to 15, pairs, runs, flushes, and nobs into the calculator to determine the total points in a Cribbage game.

Cribbage Formula

The following formula is used to calculate the total points in a Cribbage game.

TP = (15s * 2) + (P * 1) + (R * 2) + (F * 4) + (S * 1)

Variables:

  • TP is the total points
  • 15s is the number of combinations adding up to
  • 15 P is the number of pairs
  • R is the number of runs
  • F is the number of flushes
  • S is the number of nobs (jack of the same suit as the start card)

To calculate the total points in a Cribbage game, multiply the number of combinations adding up to 15 by 2, the number of pairs by 1, the number of runs by 2, the number of flushes by 4, and the number of nobs by 1. Add all these results together to get the total points.

What is a Cribbage?

Cribbage is a traditional card game that involves playing and grouping cards in combinations to gain points. It is usually played between two to four players, but most commonly played between two individuals. The game uses a cribbage board for scorekeeping and a standard 52-card deck. The objective of the game is to be the first player to score a target number of points, typically 61 or 121. Points are scored for card combinations that add up to fifteen, and for pairs, triples, quadruples, runs, and flushes.
