Dollars To Minutes Formula

The formula below describes an earnings rate in dollars per minute. To find work minutes for a dollar amount, divide that amount by the rate in $/min. Optional deductions use a supplied flat percentage, and unpaid time changes the separate effective total-time estimate.

DTM = D / (T × 60)

Variables:

  • DTM is the earnings rate in dollars per minute ($/min)
  • D is the total amount of money earned ($)
  • T is the total time spent in hours (hr)

To calculate the DTM rate in $/min, first convert the total time to minutes (if T is in hours, multiply T by 60). Then divide the total amount of money earned by the total minutes. The result is your value of time expressed as dollars per minute.
