Enter the number of eggs to be frozen and the cost per egg freezing cycle into the calculator to calculate the estimated cost of egg freezing.

Egg Freezing Formula

The following formula is used to calculate the estimated cost of egg freezing:

EC = (N * C) + M

Variables:

  • EC is the estimated cost of egg freezing
  • N is the number of eggs to be frozen
  • C is the cost per egg-freezing cycle
  • M is any additional costs or fees

To calculate the estimated cost of egg freezing, multiply the number of eggs to be frozen by the cost per egg freezing cycle, then add any additional costs or fees.

What is an Egg Freezing?

Egg freezing, also known as mature oocyte cryopreservation, is a method used to save a woman’s ability to get pregnant in the future. The process involves several steps: hormone injections to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, monitoring of the ovaries through ultrasound and blood tests, and finally, the retrieval of the eggs through a minor surgical procedure.

Once retrieved, the eggs are immediately frozen and stored for future use. This technique is often used by women who are not ready to become pregnant but want to ensure they can have biological children in the future, particularly those facing medical treatments that may affect their fertility, such as chemotherapy for cancer.

The frozen eggs can be thawed, fertilized with sperm in a lab through a process called in vitro fertilization (IVF), and implanted in the uterus at a later date.
