Kills Per Minute Formula
Kills per minute measures how many kills you average for each minute played.
KPM = K / M
- KPM = kills per minute
- K = total kills
- M = total minutes played
To solve for total kills or minutes, rearrange the same formula.
K = KPM * M
M = K / KPM
- K = total kills
- KPM = kills per minute
- M = total minutes played
Minutes must be greater than zero when calculating KPM. KPM must be greater than zero when calculating minutes.
Useful Kills Per Minute Tables
Use these ranges as a quick way to interpret a KPM result. Actual performance depends on the game mode, map, lobby strength, and match length.
| Kills Per Minute | General Meaning |
|---|---|
| 0.00 to 0.49 | Low kill pace or objective-focused play |
| 0.50 to 0.99 | Moderate kill pace |
| 1.00 to 1.99 | Strong kill pace |
| 2.00+ | Very high kill pace |
| Kills | Minutes | KPM |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | 20 | 0.50 |
| 25 | 30 | 0.83 |
| 40 | 25 | 1.60 |
| 60 | 30 | 2.00 |
How to Use the Result
Compare KPM over similar match types. A 1.20 KPM in a 10-minute match is not always equal to a 1.20 KPM in a longer match with different rules.
For a simple example, if you get 36 kills in 24 minutes, your KPM is 36 ÷ 24 = 1.50. That means you averaged one and a half kills per minute.
