- Next, determine the Area (m^2). For this problem, the Area (m^2) is measured to be 9 .
- Next, determine the Time (seconds). In this case, the Time (seconds) is found to be 4.
- Finally, calculate the Sound Energy using the formula above:
E = I * A * T
Inserting the values from above and solving the equation yields:
E = 51 * 9 * 4 = 1836 (Joules)
