Convert a local clock time from one fixed UTC offset to another while keeping the same instant. Choose date-and-time mode when you also need the resulting calendar date.

Translate a clock time between two fixed UTC offsets; the result includes the day shift.

Enter the UTC offsets that apply on the event date. Fixed offsets do not automatically follow daylight-saving changes.

For example +5.5 hours for UTC+05:30 or −4 hours for UTC−04:00.

Supported offsets are −14 to +14 hours, in whole minutes.

UTC offset conversion

Target time = source time − source offset + target offset. An offset is local time minus UTC. Positive offsets are east of UTC; a negative source offset is subtracted by adding its magnitude.

Example

On 2026-10-08, 23:30 at UTC−04:00 is 03:30 UTC on October 9. At UTC+05:30, that same instant is 2026-10-09 09:00:00. The clock adjustment is +9.5 hours.

Frequently asked questions

How do I enter UTC+05:45?

Enter 5.75 with the hours unit, or 345 with the minutes unit. The supported offsets run from −14 to +14 hours in whole minutes.

Does this automatically handle daylight saving time?

No. Enter the offset that applies at the source and destination on the event date. A named location can change its offset during the year.

Can the result shift by more than one day?

Yes. Large differences between offsets can move the target date by two calendar days. Clock-only mode shows that shift; dated mode applies it to the supplied date. Leap seconds are excluded.
