How the Calculation Works

Interpreting the Result
Compare results only when the underlying definition, competition, player or team scope, and reporting period are consistent. Keep the displayed decimal for rate comparisons; treat a reverse-solved count as an estimate when the percentage was rounded. A fractional estimate is not an observed whole-number stat line.
Assumptions and Limitations
NCAA box scores publish digs and digs per set, not failed dig attempts. Define the opportunity denominator before tracking and compare only like-for-like samples. Enter whole counts up to 1,000,000; successful digs cannot exceed attempts. A positive rate is required to reconstruct attempts, while zero digs at zero percentage leave attempts undetermined.
