Calculate betting roi from your inputs, with a result breakdown and worked steps.
Betting ROI Formula and Method
ROI = net profit / settled stakes × 100
Sum the stakes of settled cash tickets in one reporting period. Sum all money returned from those tickets, including returned cash stakes. Net profit is returns less stakes, and ROI divides that profit by total stakes. Deposits into an account are not stakes and withdrawals are not ticket profit.
How to Use This Calculator
Select the result and any applicable method before entering the visible values. The selected unknown is calculated from the remaining quantities; change Solve for to rearrange the relationship. Worked Example
With the example inputs in the table, the result is 10%. ROI uses cumulative settled stakes, including stakes returned on pushes.
Input and Example Guide
| Input or category | Example or weight | Entry guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Money unit | U.S. dollars (USD) | Choose the convention that applies to your record. |
| Total settled cash stakes (selected currency) | 1000 | Use the stated unit; retain available precision. |
| Net cash profit (selected currency) | 100 | Use the stated unit; retain available precision. |
Interpreting the Result
Pushes can be included consistently in the stake denominator even though they create no net profit. This convention is stated so comparisons use the same basis. Solving for stakes requires nonzero ROI and a profit with a matching sign; zero profit at zero ROI does not identify a unique stake total.
Use the same settled period for stakes and returns. Deposits, withdrawals, unsettled tickets and bonus credits are not cash-stake profit.
Assumptions and Common Input Errors
ROI uses cumulative settled stakes, including stakes returned on pushes. Keep the same currency and settlement conditions throughout a scenario. Displayed currency amounts are rounded to two decimals; calculations retain precision unless cent allocation is explicitly described.
Saving and Revising a Scenario
A successful calculation is saved in this browser and can be restored on the next visit. Editing an input clears the old result so it is not mistaken for an updated calculation. Reset returns the example inputs and clears the saved result.
