  1. First, determine the diameter of the lake (ft). 
    1. The diameter of the lake (ft) is given as: 500.
  2. Next, determine the average depth of the lake (ft). 
    1. The average depth of the lake (ft) is provided as: 30.
  3. Finally, calculate the Lake Volume using the equation above: 

LV = pi*D^2/4*LD /7.481

The values given above are inserted into the equation below:

LV = pi*500^2/4*30 /7.481 = 787,382.89 (gallons)


Example Problem #2: 

The variables needed for this problem are provided below:

diameter of the lake (ft) = 600
