Calculate moneyline from your inputs, with a result breakdown and worked steps.
Moneyline Formula and Method
Winning return = stake × decimal odds
Enter the signed American price, a cash stake, and the settled outcome. Positive prices scale profit relative to a 100-unit stake. Negative prices scale the required stake relative to 100 units of profit. The conversion first expresses both conventions as decimal total-return odds.
How to Use This Calculator
Select the result and any applicable method before entering the visible values. Check the selected record, unit and scoring conventions before calculating. Review the primary result and its breakdown, then open the calculation steps to see how the inputs were used.
Worked Example
With the example inputs in the table, the result is 66.67 USD. A push returns the stake; a loss returns zero.
Net result = return − stake
Input and Example Guide
| Input or category | Example or weight | Entry guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Money unit | U.S. dollars (USD) | Choose the convention that applies to your record. |
| Cash stake (selected currency) | 100 | Use the stated unit; retain available precision. |
| American moneyline odds (signed price) | -150 | Use the stated unit; retain available precision. |
| Settlement | Win | Choose the convention that applies to your record. |
Interpreting the Result
A winning return includes the cash stake; net profit subtracts it. A push returns that stake and therefore has zero net profit. A loss returns zero and loses the full stake. Promotional credits can have different stake-return rules and are outside this cash-wager settlement calculation.
This is a cash-stake calculation. Promotions, fees, taxes and exchange commission are excluded.
Assumptions and Common Input Errors
A push returns the stake; a loss returns zero. Keep the same currency and settlement conditions throughout a scenario. Displayed currency amounts are rounded to two decimals; calculations retain precision unless cent allocation is explicitly described.
Saving and Revising a Scenario
A successful calculation is saved in this browser and can be restored on the next visit. Editing an input clears the old result so it is not mistaken for an updated calculation. Reset returns the example inputs and clears the saved result.
