Example
Nine goals for on 90 shots on goal gives 10% shooting. Seven goals against on 100 shots on goal against gives 93% saves. PDO is 10 + 93 = 103.00 on this 100-point scale (equivalent to 1030 on a 1000-point scale).

How to Interpret the Result
Use the result with counts from the same competition level, reporting provider, strength state, and date range. A single rate does not account for role, opponent quality, sample size, team system, or score effects.

Should I round the result?
PDO is a rate summary, not a goal count. Enter whole-number counts without rounding measured rates back into counts. The display uses two decimals after adding unrounded component percentages; compare like scales.
Can I compare different leagues or data providers?
You can, but definitions and recording practices can differ. Verify that both samples use the same statistic before drawing conclusions.
Does this result predict future performance?
No. It summarizes the entered sample and does not forecast future outcomes by itself.
