Penalty Kill Percentage Formula
Penalty-kill percentage is a team statistic: successful kills divided by official opponent power-play opportunities, multiplied by 100. Use the reporting authority’s final opportunity total; a major or double-minor penalty need not count as only one opportunity. See the NHL hockey glossary for the formula.
