FAQ
What does audit percentage mean?
Audit percentage is the audited amount expressed as a percentage of the total amount. For example, if $2,000 is audited out of a $20,000 total, the audit percentage is 10%.
Can the audit percentage be more than 100%?
Yes, but only if the audit amount is greater than the total amount entered. In many audit sampling situations, this may indicate that one of the inputs is incorrect. Check that the audit amount and total amount are using the same basis and time period.
Why does total amount fail when audit percentage is zero?
Solving for total amount requires dividing by the audit percentage as a decimal. Since division by zero is not possible, the audit percentage must be greater than zero when calculating total amount.
