How the Pace Chart Is Calculated
A constant 500-meter split scales directly with distance. Multiply the split by distance divided by 500. Reverse mode rearranges the same relationship and then uses the Concept2 cube equation to report average watts.

Using reverse mode
Enter any completed distance with its actual unit and the full elapsed time. The result normalizes that performance to seconds per 500 meters, making pieces of different lengths easier to compare.
Pace chart versus prediction
The chart answers what each finish time would be if the same split were maintained. It does not estimate how much a rower should slow over a marathon or speed up over 500 meters.
