Explore disc golf tools for comparing round scores, applying local league handicaps, choosing disc flight characteristics, and estimating energy used during a round.
Scores and Ratings
Compare a score against a chosen SSA and rating-points-per-throw relationship, or calculate an average-score handicap under your league’s rules. The round rating is explicitly unofficial; a handicap is a separate local scoring adjustment.
Discs and Round Planning
Use a demonstrated disc-speed ceiling and intended shot to compare flight-number ranges. Estimate total or active energy from body weight and playing time using the disc-golf-specific Compendium reference.
Keep Round Records Comparable
Record the tees, basket positions, hole count, penalties, and conditions alongside a score. Use the same layout and scoring convention for a local handicap history. A course’s par is not automatically its SSA, and an estimated round rating is not an official player rating.
Use Each Estimate for Its Intended Purpose
Flight numbers describe intended tendencies and do not determine an exact trajectory. The flight selector’s speed and shot bands are disclosed comparison guides. A fixed-MET calorie result is a population estimate, with separate total and active definitions. Each article explains its inputs, worked examples, and limits.
