Intensification Ratio Formula
The following formula and example show how to calculate the intensification ratio.
Ri = MIP / MHP
Variables:
- RI is the unitless intensification ratio; use the same pressure units in the numerator and denominator.
- MIP is the maximum injection pressure (psi)
- MHP is the corresponding hydraulic pressure (psi)
To calculate the intensification ratio, divide the maximum injection pressure by the maximum hydraulic pressure.
