FAQ
How do you calculate marks percentage?
Divide the marks earned by the total marks, then multiply by 100. For example, if you scored 36 out of 40, the calculation is 36 divided by 40 times 100, which equals 90%.
Can the percentage be more than 100?
In normal marking, no. A percentage above 100 means the correct marks are greater than the total marks. Check that you entered the values in the correct fields.
What if the result has decimals?
A decimal result is normal when the marks do not divide evenly. For example, 37 out of 45 is 82.22%. You can keep the decimal value or round it based on your school or exam rules.
