Estimate push-press calories from active time or sets and reps, with separate load-volume results and an inverse target-time mode.
How the Push Press Calorie Calculator Works
The calorie estimate uses cumulative active time and either the 3.5-MET controlled resistance category or the 6.0-MET vigorous category. Sets and reps can derive active time.
Formula: gross kcal = MET x 3.5 x body mass in kg / 200 x active minutes
What the Results Show
The primary result is the gross calorie estimate or the time required for a target. Supporting results show calories above rest, calorie rate, the selected activity value, and substituted calculation steps.
Calculator-Specific Detail
External load produces total volume and volume-per-set outputs but does not feed an unsupported universal calorie-per-kilogram coefficient.
Assumptions and Limitations
Use seconds per rep to represent actual moving time. Long inter-set rests are outside the active-time estimate. MET estimates describe typical energy cost for groups, so an individual’s result can vary with technique, conditioning, rest behavior, and equipment.
