Saturn Weight Formula
W_saturn = W_earth Ă— (g_saturn / g_earth)
- W_saturn = your weight on Saturn (same units as input)
- W_earth = your weight on Earth
- g_saturn = 10.44 m/s² (Saturn's cloud-top gravity)
- g_earth = 9.80665 m/s² (standard Earth gravity)
If you start from mass instead of weight, the calculator uses W_saturn = m Ă— g_saturn. To go from a Saturn weight back to Earth, the ratio is flipped: W_earth = W_saturn Ă— (9.80665 / 10.44).
Saturn has no solid surface, so "weight on Saturn" means weight at the 1-bar pressure level, which is the standard reference for the planet's effective gravity. The ratio works out to roughly 1.064, meaning you weigh about 6.4% more than on Earth.

Example and FAQ
Example. You weigh 165 lb on Earth. On Saturn: 165 Ă— (10.44 / 9.80665) = 165 Ă— 1.0646 ≈ 175.7 lb.
Why isn't Saturn's gravity much higher? Saturn is enormous but mostly hydrogen and helium, with an average density less than water. Its 1-bar "surface" sits far from the planet's center, which weakens the gravitational pull at that radius.
Does my mass change on Saturn? No. Mass stays the same. Only weight, the force gravity exerts on that mass, changes.
Why does the calculator show "kg scale equivalent"? A bathroom scale calibrated in kilograms actually measures force and divides by Earth's gravity. On Saturn, the same scale would read a higher number even though your mass is unchanged. That higher reading is the kg scale equivalent.
