Estimate WaterRower calories from average monitor watts or a rowing-effort preset, with optional distance and stroke-rate details.
How the Water Rower Calorie Calculator Works
Average monitor watts select the evidence-backed rowing intensity bracket. If watts are unavailable, the calculator offers general vigorous or water-tank simulation activity values.
Formula: gross kcal = rowing MET x 3.5 x body weight in kg / 200 x minutes
What the Results Show
The result hierarchy includes gross and active calories, calorie rate, MET-minutes, duration, watt bracket, work, and optional split, strokes, and meters per stroke.
Why This Calculator Is Different
This WaterRower workflow uses the machine’s monitor watts and never imports Concept2 split calibration or rowing body-weight adjustment.
Assumptions and Limitations
Watt brackets are intentionally discrete. Monitor calibration, stroke technique, drag, and short intervals can make measured energy use differ from the estimate.
