Wrestling Takedown Percentage Formula or Method
Takedown percentage divides completed takedowns by attempts and multiplies by 100. A completed count cannot exceed attempts, and solved counts are rounded to whole numbers.
How the Calculation Works
C is completed takedowns and A is tracked attempts. Choose the unknown quantity and enter the remaining two values. Completed = rate × attempts / 100; attempts = completed × 100 / rate. Reverse modes round a fractional count to the nearest whole number and show the rate those counts give.

Assumptions and Limitations
Results depend on consistent film-tagging and attempt definitions. Opponent level, match state, style, and sample size can materially affect the rate. Entered counts retain the source limit of 1,000,000. Reverse results are rounded to whole numbers; a rounded rate such as 33.33% may not reconstruct an original count exactly. A 0% rate cannot determine unknown attempts.
