How the Goblet Squat To Back Squat Calculator Works
The calculator creates a transfer factor from one goblet-squat performance and one back-squat performance completed on the same basis. It then applies that factor forward or reverses it for a target.
The implement, squat style, and depth fields preserve the conditions under which the factor was observed. They do not select a hidden population ratio. The entered goblet load is the complete dumbbell or kettlebell load.
Goblet-to-Back-Squat Formula
Formula: factor = paired back squat / paired goblet squat; estimated back squat = goblet load x factor; required goblet load = back-squat target / factor
A user-entered factor interval creates a planning range. In reverse mode, the upper factor produces the lower required goblet load and the lower factor produces the upper load.
Choosing Comparable Inputs
Use tested 1RMs or the same 2-to-10-rep maximum for every load. Keep the goblet implement, squat depth, back-squat style, tempo, and equipment consistent. Recalibrate when those standards change.

Understanding Your Results
The estimate appears first, followed by raw and usable rounded loads, any user-defined interval, the factor definition, calibration pair, performance basis, and setup labels.
Treat the result as a personal planning estimate. A goblet squat can be limited by grip, rack position, implement size, or comfort before the legs reach the same constraint as a back squat.
Worked Example
A 40 lb goblet calibration paired with a 100 lb back squat gives a factor of 2.5000. Under the same standards, a 48 lb goblet performance estimates a 120 lb back squat.
Common Mistakes
Do not enter one dumbbell handle as though two implements were used, mix rep counts, or reuse a high-bar calibration for a materially different low-bar or depth standard.
