Enter either your body weight or a weighted squat value to calculate an estimate between the two using a factor you can adjust. This calculator can also convert a weighted squat value back to an estimated body-weight equivalent using the same factor.
Safety note: This is a rough estimate only (not a prescription for what you should load). Start lighter than any estimate, prioritize technique and a safe rack setup (pins/spotters as appropriate), and progress gradually. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are returning from injury, consider guidance from a qualified clinician or coach.

Body Weight to Weighted Squat Estimate Formula
The following formula is used to estimate a weighted squat load based on body weight using a user-selected factor.
EWS = BW * CF
Variables:
- EWS is the estimated weighted squat load (in pounds or kilograms)
- BW is your body weight (in pounds or kilograms)
- CF is the conversion factor you choose in the calculator (default shown is 1.5)
To estimate the weighted squat load, multiply body weight by the factor. Conversely, divide the weighted squat load by the factor to estimate the body-weight equivalent.
| Body weight (kg or lb) | Estimated weighted squat load (kg or lb) |
|---|---|
| 40 | 60.00 |
| 45 | 67.50 |
| 50 | 75.00 |
| 60 | 90.00 |
| 70 | 105.00 |
| 80 | 120.00 |
| 90 | 135.00 |
| 95 | 142.50 |
| 100 | 150.00 |
| 110 | 165.00 |
| 120 | 180.00 |
| 125 | 187.50 |
| 130 | 195.00 |
| 140 | 210.00 |
| 150 | 225.00 |
| 160 | 240.00 |
| 170 | 255.00 |
| 180 | 270.00 |
| 190 | 285.00 |
| 200 | 300.00 |
| Formula: Estimated weighted squat load = CF × body weight. The same unit (kg or lb) applies to both columns. | |
What is the Body Weight to Weighted Squat Estimate?
This tool provides a rough heuristic for estimating a weighted squat load from body weight (or the reverse) using a factor you can adjust. It is not a universal performance standard, and results can vary widely based on training history, technique, depth, equipment, and individual differences.
How to Calculate the Weighted Squat Estimate
The following steps outline the calculation process:
- Select the unit you will use (kg or lb) and keep it consistent for inputs and results.
- Enter either your body weight or a weighted squat value (enter only one).
- Choose a conversion factor (the default is 1.5, but you can adjust it).
- If starting with body weight, calculate the estimate as EWS = BW × CF.
- If starting with weighted squat, estimate the body-weight equivalent as BW = EWS ÷ CF.
Example Problem:
If a lifter’s body weight is 100 kg and they choose a factor of 1.5, the estimated weighted squat load would be 100 × 1.5 = 150 kg (using the same unit throughout).
