Prize Money Split Formula and Method
Net cents = rounded gross cents − rounded deduction cents
Select one currency for the whole pool and enter deductions as either a percentage or a fixed amount. The distributable amount is the gross pool less those deductions. Equal shares divide this net amount among the chosen recipients; custom shares use percentages in finishing or recipient order.

Worked Example

Interpreting the Result
Money is allocated in whole cents. Each exact share is initially rounded down; then leftover cents go to the largest fractional remainders; ties favor earlier positions. This keeps the total distributed equal to the net pool. Custom percentages must total 100, and the calculator does not determine tax withholding or who is entitled to a prize.
Payout percentages are supplied by the organizer. Deductions are arithmetic inputs; taxes, fees and legal entitlement are not estimated.
