Gymnastics All-Around Total Method
An artistic all-around total is the sum of the gymnast’s final scores on every apparatus in the selected competition format. This calculator keeps the women’s four-event and men’s six-event sets separate.
How the Calculation Works
The calculator adds the posted final apparatus scores without intermediate rounding. The supporting average is the total divided by four or six; it is not the all-around ranking value.

Interpreting the Result
The total is the competition measure. The average, best event, and lowest event help describe balance across the selected apparatus but do not change the official sum.
Assumptions and Limitations
Do not mix qualifying, final, exhibition, or different-code scores. This tool does not average two vaults, break ties, discard events, or apply team counting rules. Use the event names and required apparatus published for the actual competition.
